~Doll Baby for my Doll Baby~

When Kiersten was born, I decided I'd like to make her a doll every year for Christmas. I was thinking it would be like our boys getting Hess trucks every year. I saw THIS website awhile ago and knew I wanted to make the doll named Fancy.

I love all the dolls that De makes but when I went to get some fabric I was really drawn to some cute butterfly prints in off tones. I debated making one more "raggedy" but just couldn't leave this fabric...

Well, here she is... complete with blanket!
I can see making many, many more of these dolls with blankets... way too much fun!!!! Now I will have to hide her so I don't "accidentally" give her to Kiersten before Christmas!!!

~Brown Bag Quilt~

DONE!!!!

Remember THIS fabric

From THIS exchange...
I had so much fun putting this together! You can find the directions for this quilt HERE. Thanks Moose on the Porch Quilts for sharing this design!

I already have fabric lined up to make one with 12 different fabrics instead of just three for the center stripes! I will say that getting those seems lined up was very tricky. If I sewed one way they were off a tad that direction... I ripped it out and sewed the other way and it was off a tad that way. Just a tad really shows up too!

~First Haircut~

I didn't want to do it.... Kiersten won't leave a bow in her hair anymore so her hair was in her eyes all the time. I broke down and trimmed her bangs.
She wouldn't look up long enough for me to get a photo...
...until I bribed her with a toothbrush! Much better!

~The Oldest~

I can't imagine being the oldest child of a "large" family. Jordan is certainly the typical responsible first born who tends to lead. He is my right hand around the house and Gregg's in the garage. He enjoys racing and food... in no particular order. He can't wait to drive and be done with school but does well in the here and now.

~My 2nd Born~

The story teller himself. Jared can make a long story... well, longer! He has all kinds of motions and sound effects too!

Jared isn't the one to be bouncing off walls... he is more of a "let's just relax" kind of a guy. He is also our master lego builder.

Jared is starting to pick up more chores around the house and is learning to take care of his quarter midget.

~The Middle Boy~

Aaron does a great job being the middle brother! He does great with any age! He even gets Kiersten up for me in the morning (she is in his room) and sometimes from her naps. He plays well with Nathan and Eric and he also is starting to do "young man stuff" like Jordan and Jared.

Aaron won the championship for his level in racing this summer. He has an extra banquet to go to because of it!
Aaron certainly adds to our family life... he adds noise=-) I say it every year and it is always so true!
Aaron will be turning 8 next week!

~My Eric~

Here is another one of my special little men! Eric is such a big helper right now. At five, he is stuck between being little and being big! He wants to learn so that he can help and I sure like that!

Eric is doing well in school and loves his new classes at church. He loves all the kids in his class and even talks to the girls:-) He is known around church for tickling people's backs. Eric can't wait to race next summer with his brothers.

I think Eric is my most photogenic! His photos were so easy to get... and his sweet personality sparkles through!
