~Thrift Shopping Score~

I made this curtain shortly after we moved in... almost 11 years ago.  I've been wanting to replace it for a  while but regular curtains cost so much and the one I wanted would cost more because  it needs to be lined.
I really didn't want to make one either.

Kiersten and I hit our local thrift store and found these!

Yay!  I was so excited.  They were brown, grommet panels, the right size, and there were two panels!  I have seen some that would have worked before but could only find one panel or they had a pattern I didn't really care for. The best part is I only pad $6.00 per panel.  They are double that per panel on ebay. and four times as much new!

~A Yucky Job~

It is getting to the point where I can say everything new I learned, I learned from YouTube:0) We use it for school. I learned how to crochet by watching YouTube videos!! And now, I had to look up clogged kitchen sinks.... yuck!

I have been putting up with a slow drain... some days it is really slow! A few weeks ago, I searched for a way to fix my problem and found a great You Tube video on using baking soda and vinegar. It worked for a little while... and it is fun to watch:0)

Yesterday, it was super sonic slow (Aaron's new phrase). So slow I could not even do my dishes. (I keep forgetting to mention it to My Love... he is so busy and I feel bad adding something to his list.)

Anyway, I found myself searching the net again. You Tube came through!!! I learned how to take the pipe out of under the sink to look for a clog in there!

Well, I was smart enough to take out the box of stuff under the sink... and put in a dish pan:0) Then I realized there was no screw to undo the pipe... so I just pulled. Much to my horror and amazement... the pipe came right out with all kinds of stinky, yucky, gooey, messy stuff.

I flushed the gunk down the toilet (because I didn't know what else to do with it and I obviously couldn't dump it into the sink) and took the pipe to the tub with a nice round brush. Lots more gunk!

I hooked the pipe back up and tah-dah! All is well!

Now, I'm thinking we might need to get My Love a garbage disposal for Father's Day?!?!? Yes!!?!?!

Did I win the yuckiest job award for yesterday? or did someone do something grosser??? Do tell!

Hey wait, don't plumbers get like 50 bucks an hour!??!!

~Stimulating our Local Ecomony~

It seems like we have been saving and saving and saving. Finally, we are able to get some house projects done. I am still in love with my new door and window:-)

Earlier this week we got a delivery of stone... for what you say...

Now we have added a shed! We have 7 bikes plus two tandem's that our boys have a hard time keeping organized. They also have scooters, sleds, and such to keep in a very small area. My garden bucket gets lost in the depths of the motor filled garage.

This should help tremendously! It is really cute too! Gregg found it used...it was rented. Have you ever heard of renting a shed?!?!?

Anyway, it was delivered today with a really cool trailer. Yipee!
